Our favorite resources for Web development

Customers come to us to find solutions. Sometimes they need something to run faster, smoother, or want to automate functions to make their lives easier. Often the solutions require integrating customized tools we’ve created along with third party solutions.

We’re pretty smart cookies. The depth of our developers' knowledge base runs pretty deep. But sometimes finding those solutions means research. We’re lucky to work in a field that is constantly evolving, and for every problem there are usually several potential solutions.

We thought we'd share some of our favorite sites - ones we often look to for insight:

w3schools.com – This is a great reference resource with full lists of options, values, and tags for HTML, XML, CSS, etc.

alistapart.com – This is a good article about web design, writing, and coding. It takes the reader through philosophy, helpful “how-to’s,” as well as peeks into what’s coming down the road in Web design trends and technology.

carsonified.com/blog - This site is similar to alistapart.com and provides another perspective on the philosophy, additional “how-to’s” and a different peek into what’s the future holds for trends and technology.

css-tricks.com – This site contains links, articles, and a community that helps us wring as much functionality from CSS as possible.

drupal.org/forum – We use Drupal as our “out of the box” CMS solution and this site hosts a community of developers that are often trying to solve the same questions.
